Read and Recite My Poems

Cry of mother earth

 Uui Uui Uui Uui Uui
I am in real labour pain
The pain of giving birth
To six billion children
As the millennium turns
I am shedding tears of pain

 Uui Uui Uui Uui Uu
I am cracking under weight
Of six billion boarders
(Not to mention their goats and cows
Their horses and chicken)
So much for so little space

Uui Uui Uui Uui Uui
You’ve seen the cracks in Turkey
You’ve seen the cracks in Taiwan
You’ve seen the cracks in Mexico
You’ve seen the cracks in America
Mend me, Mend me, Mend me

Yes, I might as well ask
Why me? Why me? Why me?
Why not Mercury? Why not Venus
Why not Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto
Must I alone bear the burden?
So much for so little space.

Uui Uui Uui Uui Uui
I am wounded, I am bleeding
They have razed my forests to the ground
And now hyacinth is threatening my lakes
Don’t just say “1999 is a year of quakes,”
Mend me! Mend me! Mend me!
